2019 Senior Enlisted Staff Ride

AACHEN, Germany (Sept. 14, 2019) – Twenty senior noncommissioned officers from various U.S. Army Europe units attended the 2019 Senior Enlisted Staff Ride around the greater Aachen area Sept. 9 – 13.

James Scott Wheeler, the group’s instructor, led the sergeants major where crucial events of the Siegfried Line Campaign took place—an allied assault that happened in Aachen and The Hürtgen Forest approximately 75-years ago.

At the end of each day, the sergeants major met to discuss what they had learned about and how it relates to today’s U.S. Army in Europe.
