Check out this video of how U.S. Army Soldiers conduct a convoy live fire exercise

The soldiers in this video are members of the U.S. Army’s 16th Sustainment Brigade in Germany. The exercise took place at the Baumholder Military Training Area.

If you’ve never participated in an exercise like this, the video below is educational as (unlike a lot of popular YouTube clips) it doesn’t cut straight to the machine guns blazing. There is a considerable amount of work to be done in simply keeping a convoy organized and maintaining proper intervals (close enough for command and control, but with big enough intervals to minimize chances that more than one vehicle can be hit by the explosion from a single enemy munition).

This video gives you some idea about what it takes just to get a convoy moving.
