Heritage Foundation: U.S. military needs $632 billion in 2018 to begin rebuilding

An interesting report from Frederico Bartels at the Heritage Foundation states that the rebuilding of U.S. military capabilities will require an investment of $632 billion dollars in 2018. According to the report, multiple years of defense budget increases above the level of inflation will be necessary in order to resolve shortfalls in readiness identified in Heritage’s 2018 Index of U.S. Military Strength.
