Recovery Continues: Airmen Repair Critical Communications Infrastructure in Puerto Rico

Amid the controversy that erupted regarding the adequacy of federal relief efforts in Puerto Rico during the public confrontation between the President and the Mayor of San Juan, the hard work of our servicemembers continues unabated.

Defense.gov highlights the work recently done by Mississippi-based airmen to restore the operability of Puerto Rico’s communications network.

Airmen of the 85th Engineering and Installation Squadron from Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, are working at Cerro de Punta Mountain near Ponce, Puerto Rico, to repair radio communications infrastructure damaged by Hurricane Maria. Read more at source…
