The Chairman salutes the USO

A great story giving recognition to the United Service Organization.

For those of you not familiar with it, the USO provides a wide-range of services to servicemembers and their families. Keeping troops connected to the U.S., the USO arranges events with performers and other figures of cultural importance for units deployed far from home. They also run lounges at U.S. airports where active duty members and their families can rest before or a flight or on a long layover. Beyond these activities, the USO also provides diverse services for transitioning, wounded, or ill servicemembers.

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff thanked the USO for all it has done and continues to do to support service members in the United States and around the world during a gala held in Washington, D.C. Read more at source…
