President Trump’s birthday message to the Coast Guard

America’s smallest armed service turns 227 this week.

The United States Coast Guard, throughout the various phases of its organization, has patrolled American waters since 1790.

In recognition of the USCG’s 227th birthday, President Trump delivered a birthday message to the men and women who serve the Coast Guard in as active duty and reserve members, civilian employees, and auxiliary volunteers.

The President’s message cited the Coast Guard’s important work conducting search and rescue operations, stopping drug cartels and human traffickers from entering the U.S., countering terrorist threats, and ensuring navigability of Arctic waters.

We here at MILFEED would like to take this opportunity to personally thank all past and present Coasties for their service.  “Semper Paratus!”
